Why does it work?

Through a person centered approach, I support you in developing a secure therapeutic attachment; we co-create a relationship where you understand that I think YOU are the expert on your life. As a cheerleader and as a guide, I help you to make your OWN decisions (as opposed to directing you in any way). This autonomy and trust can help you to build confidence AND help heal the inner child.

Through mindfulness and somatic work, we focus on cultivating safety in the body and on signaling the limbic system that all is safe and well (in situations that might typically trigger this survival system to activate). With these “bottom-up” approaches, you learn and practice simple, but powerful, strategies that will help you gain total control over your emotional experience (and eventually, over your thought and behavioral patterns too).

Fee:

$200 per session

Therapy can be quite an investment, but there are resources to make this do-able! I’m connected with a company (Mentaya) that supports reimbursement for clients through their PPO insurance plan.
